Where do we sleep on the Baja EcoWarrior Retreat?
My friend, one of my absolute favorite parts of our Baja EcoWarrior Retreat is the sleeping arrangements.
Is that weird? It's probably weird. But I really don't care cause I love sleep.
You may have already known that ya girl likes her sleep. I need my 8 hours and plenty of snooze button buffer time.
I take sleep v seriously. So here's whatcha gotta know about sleeping on our retreat.
We're staying at the Vermilion Sea Field Station for the entirety of the retreat, which is first and foremost a field facility for researchers and educators in the environmental sciences. It's also home base for our ocean conservation partner, Vermilion Sea Institute.
It's rustic but oh so enjoyable and relaxing - the perfect combo for a retreat like ours.
The adobe and stone building itself has 12 multi-purpose rooms, a large kitchen, indoor shower and changing room, outdoor bucket-flush bathrooms and an additional family house.
At night, we'll set up our cots along the waterfront of the station, which you can see in the photo above. If you'd rather be inside the station, you can set up in there instead, although most visitors to the station do choose to sleep under the stars.
But again - as with everything else on this retreat - take what you need and leave the rest.
As for the cots themselves, although they look simple, they're actually surprisingly comfortable! I always sleep soooo well at the station.
You're also for sure welcome to bring a sleeping pad if you'd like some extra cushion!
😴 Falling asleep under the stars to the quiet lapping of the waves... It doesn't get much better than that, my friend.
This trip is so special, and I would truly love nothing more than for you to experience its magic, too.
There are 4 spots left in this year's retreat. Will you claim one of them? 💙
Of course, if you have any questions whatsoever, I'm always just an email away.
✨ Reminder that payment plans are available! ✨ Just choose the "Pay in installments" option at checkout. There are options ranging from 2 to 12 months, so you can choose the best option for you.
