Local Delivery

We believe that zero waste and sustainable living should never make your life inconvenient or difficult. It should be easy, affordable, and accessible. And from the very beginning, milkman-style local delivery has been one of our favorite ways to ways we make that happen.

We deliver every Tuesday across the South Sound region, about a 10-mile radius around central Tacoma.

Outside of our delivery radius? No worries! We ship nationwide. Check out how our online refill program works and all the ways we're keeping your orders as zero waste as possible.

Local Delivery Updates

We are SHIFTING delivery from Tuesday, December 17 to THURSDAY, December 19. Orders for December 19 delivery must be placed by 5pm on WEDNESDAY, December 18.

We will not be delivering on December 24 or 31, 2024. All local delivery orders placed after 5pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 will be delivered on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

1. Confirm that your address is in our delivery radius.

We deliver to the following zip codes:

2. Choose your products.

All of the products in our online shop are available for delivery. Simply choose the items you want delivered and add them to your cart. Easy peasy.

We deliver both one-time purchase orders and subscription orders.

We do have a $20 minimum order for delivery (before taxes and after discounts and Drops rewards) to keep this system sustainable for ourselves and for the planet.

Orders for Tuesday delivery must be submitted by 5pm on Monday.

3. Help us find you.

If there are any specific delivery instructions that would help us find you (maybe a gate code, confusing campus directions, or a secure apartment building), please leave those in the order notes.

Or if you just want to say hey we’d love that too :)

4. At checkout, choose your shipping option.

Select "South Sound Local Delivery" as your shipping method. We offer free delivery for all orders over $75, before taxes and after discounts and Drops rewards.

Please select "Local Delivery," not "Free Shipping" for orders above our $75 free delivery threshold. Even though they're both free, please help us keep deliveries together on the back-end.

5. Delivery!

Tuesday is delivery day! We're coming to you, so sit back, relax, and do a little happy dance when your order arrives (we know we will!).

All of our deliveries are contactless. We will place your order on your doorstep, knock on your door, and walk away.

6. Refill.

Ready for a refill? We’ve gotchu covered. This time, instead of choosing “New Bottle” or “New Jar,” choose “Refill.” We’ll know this means you’ve got an empty bottle or jar waiting for us.

On Tuesday, if your empties are ready for us to pick up, leave them on your porch and we’ll grab ‘em! If they’re not quite ready, that’s cool, too. Whenever they’re empty, leave them out for your next delivery.

If you’ve ordered a refill of a liquid item, such as shampoo or hand soap, make sure you keep the pump! Your refill order will not include the pump, so you can transfer it to your new bottle.

When do you deliver?

We do all of our deliveries on Tuesdays. We typically deliver between 10am and 7pm.

All orders for Tuesday delivery must be submitted by 5pm on Monday.

Is there a delivery minimum?

Yes. To keep our system sustainable for us and the planet (a 10-mile drive for a single bar of soap isn’t really great for the earth), we have a delivery minimum of $20 (before taxes and after discounts and Drops rewards). Orders less than $20 will be shipped.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes, for orders under $75, there is a $5 delivery fee. All orders over $75 (before taxes and after discounts and Drops rewards) qualify for free delivery.

I live in your delivery radius and my order is above the $20 threshold, but I'm not seeing a delivery option at checkout. What gives?

Unfortunately, due to technology outside of our control, the delivery option is not visible with any accelerated checkout options (things like PayPal, Google Pay, etc.) - except for Shop Pay. If you're trying to place an order for delivery using an accelerated checkout method, please return to your cart page and select Shop Pay (or no accelerated checkout method).

Can I pick up my order instead?

We do not have a local pickup option, and that decision is highly intentional for the planet. Check out our post on the impacts of online shopping for the deep dive on why we don't have a local pickup option.

Can I leave one of my own containers on my porch for you to fill?

No. We do not have a way to refill personal containers on our delivery route. But don't worry - all of our bottles and jars are part of a closed-loop system. When you leave out an empty for us to collect on delivery day, it gets cleaned and reused over and over again.
