Shipping policy

We ship across the United States, US Territories, and APO/FPO Bases, and offer free shipping as follows:

Contiguous United States and Military Addresses: Free shipping for all orders $100+ (before taxes and after discounts).

Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories: Free shipping for all orders $100+ (before taxes and after discounts).

Shipping for all orders under these thresholds is automatically calculated and displayed at checkout. Shipping costs are calculated by USPS based on weight, package size, and travel distance. The price you see at checkout is the price we pay to ship your order.

We do not ship outside of the United States.

We do not provide free return labels for empty containers for customers outside of the continental US, though you are welcome to ship them back to us for reuse.

We ship all orders via USPS. USPS is already coming to your home, so by shipping through them we are able to minimize our environmental impact even more.

All packaging materials we do use are always reused whenever possible (and 100% recycled when reuse is not possible), and completely plastic-free, including paper tape and shipping labels free from BPA, PFAS, phthalates, and chlorine.

Orders are typically shipped within 2-5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to track your order via USPS. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. Depending on your location and chosen shipping method, shipping can take 2-8 days from the time your order leaves our hands.

Incorrect Address

If you place an order with an incorrect address, please contact us immediately either by responding to your order confirmation email or emailing us at krystina@adropintheoceanshop.com with your correct address.

If we have already shipped your order we cannot change the address or re-route the order; it is in the hands of USPS. If the package has been marked as successfully delivered to the address you provided, we unfortunately can not issue you a refund or ship you a replacement order.

If the package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will reach out to you via the email provided in your order to try to get your order to you. Unfortunately, we cannot cover any additional shipping fees associated with reshipping your order.

We offer Local Delivery every Tuesday for customers in and around Tacoma within the following zip codes:.

All orders must be placed by 5pm on Monday for guaranteed Tuesday delivery.

There is a $20 minimum order for delivery (before taxes and after discounts). Any orders under $20 will be shipped via USPS.

Orders between $20 and $99.99 (before taxes and after discounts) are eligible for local delivery with a $5 delivery fee.

Orders $100+ (before taxes and after discounts) qualify for free delivery.

If we are unable to deliver your order, we will contact you immediately via email. If we do not receive a response from you by the next delivery day, we will update your order to be shipped, rather than delivered. We will send you an invoice for the difference between the cost of shipping and the delivery fee, plus a $2 service fee. Once that invoice is paid, we will hand your order to USPS for shipping.

Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

We thoroughly vet every product that we sell in our shop. We love them all, and truly hope that you will as well. However, due to the unpackaged nature of most of our products and the environmental impact of returns, we cannot offer returns on any of our products. In the US alone, approximately 15 billion metric tons of carbon are released into the atmosphere just from transporting returns.

Instead, we ask that you practice conscious buying habits, and only purchase items that you have reviewed and need at this time in your life. We’ve done the reviewing on our end to provide you with the best products available to reduce your impact on the planet, and stand by those products 100%.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at krystina@adropintheoceanshop.com with your order number and photos of the box and item’s condition. We cannot submit an insurance claim for the damages without a photo.
