Ingredients/Materials

Laundry Detergent: Castile Soap (Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide), Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Tetraborate, Sodium Carbonate, Pure Essential Oils (no essential oils in the Unscented detergent)

Dryer Balls: Humanely-sourced domestic sheep wool

To Use

Laundry Detergent: Add 1 tablespoon to your laundry load for regular machines, or a 1/2 tablespoon for high-efficiency machines.

Dryer Balls: Toss into your dryer with your laundry! They'll do the rest of the work.

Packaging + End of Life

The dryer balls will either be naked or packaged in a cardboard box, which can be recycled with curbside paper recycling or home composted. The dryer balls should last you many years to come, but someday when they fall apart they can be home composted.

The laundry detergent is packaged in a glass jar with a black plastic lid or metal lid, which can be returned to us and reused. When you're running low, order a "Refill" jar of detergent. We'll send you a new jar, and include a return label in the box. Pack the old jar in the box, stick the return label on the box and hand it off the USPS - all at no extra charge to you.

Origin

The laundry detergent is handmade in La Conner, Washington. The dryer balls are handmade in Maine.

Let's go to the real winner in my eyes. Honestly, I could have purchased this exact product many other places, but the packaging A Drop in the Ocean uses to ship will have me coming back time and time gain.
My first purchase from them was some floss a while ago and it arrived in a reused tea box with a hand written note that was written on scrap paper. I was blown away.
I had never seen a company who claimed to be sustainable ACTUALLY prove to be sustainable through and through. The fact that every piece of the packaging was reused and minimal will have me come back over and over again. If I can purchase it here, I will purchase it here.

I won't go back

I finally realized that my detergent was causing some of my clothes to degrade faster than others and fade. I switched over to this detergent and love the results. Definitely will be purchasing this again to keep my clothes clean.

Subtle scent; Effective cleaner

I love the subtle clean scent of eucalyptus that doesn't overpower or even linger. Better yet is the reliable cleaning power of this powdered laundry detergent. I appreciate that the product is sustainably made and reasonable priced. I will most certainly reorder - and urge you to try it if you haven't already.

A Drop in the Ocean

Hi Paul - As I mentioned in my email, I am so sorry that your order was rerouted back to our office. I believe something was updated with USPS regarding international shipments and while I was able to process and ship your order right away, apparently once it tried to leave the country something got flagged. As soon as it arrived back at my office, I emailed you to let you know what was going on and that I would figure out the problem ASAP. I did figure it out and it's back on its way to you now via UPS, scheduled to arrive on May 15. I emailed you as soon as I shipped it back out to give you an update, and you also should have received a new tracking number, but if you did not I'm happy to send it to you via email so you can keep an eye on it too. I've been checking it every day to make sure it's still in transit and everything is looking good so far! I do apologize for the delay. This was a learning experience for me for sure and I appreciated the patience you expressed to me via email. I'll keep watching the UPS tracking, and I hope that you love your dryer balls and laundry detergent when they arrive on your doorstep in a few days!
