A Drop in the Ocean Zero Waste Store Solid Dish Soap Bar

Dish Soap Bar (Grapefruit + Orange)

Regular price$15.00

Dish soap is often one of the most difficult swaps to find when embarking on a zero waste journey. Sometimes a DIY option works, and sometimes it doesn't. (I've never found one to work for me.)

If you're in the same boat and are tired of choosing between plastic bottles and residue, try our local, vegan, palm oil free, and package free solid dish soap bar. Made right here in Tacoma, this 12-ounce block of soap is sure to make the worst part of home cooking, dare we say, enjoyable.

Please note that all of our soaps are made by hand and therefore may differ slightly from those pictured.

Full size bar is 12 ounces. Trial size bar is 3 ounces.

Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Aloe Vera, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Saponaria Extract, Citric Acid, Mineral Salt, Baking Soda, Essential Oil Blend for Scent

To Use

Wet your favorite dish cloth or brush, lather the soap bar, and wash dishes as usual. If you prefer to fill your sink with water and soap to wash your dishes, simply hold the bar under the running water for a few moments while the sink fills.

Packaging + End of Life

These soap bars will either be completely unpackaged or wrapped in reused kraft paper, which can be home composted if there is soap residue left on the wrapping. If the wrapping is completely clean, it can be recycled with curbside paper recycling.

When the bar gets too small to use easily, we recommend adding it to a sisal soap saver bag with any other soap ends you may have.

Love my dish soap!

The smell on this soap is only a part of why I love this product. It works so well with my scrub brush and cleaning my dishes. Every single rub of the brush on the top of my soap bar releases that awesome citrusy scent. I think I am on my third bar from A Drop In The Ocean. I highly recommend it!

Lovely and easy dish soap!

I'm on my 3rd dish soap block from ADITO and still loving it! We don't have a dishwasher and use this soap to do all the dishes everyday. Each block has lasted us about 5 or 6 months! It smells great and cleans great! One of the easiest low waste switches we've made. I highly recommend.

Great alternative

We love this as an alternative to liquid or powder dish soap. It looks cute by the sink too!

sustainable packaging

We ship ugly boxes

Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end when you press that checkout button.

We pack all of our orders in reused boxes and envelopes, with reused paper packaging, post-consumer recycled paper labels, and even paper tape.

You may not get an IG-worthy unboxing, but you will get the most sustainable packaging we can possibly find.

Oh and did we mention our shipping is always carbon negative?

Don't take our word for it...

Let's go to the real winner in my eyes. Honestly, I could have purchased this exact razor many other places, but the packaging A Drop in the Ocean uses to ship will have me coming back time and time gain.

My first purchase from them was some floss a while ago and it arrived in a reused tea box with a hand written note that was written on scrap paper. I was blown away.

I had never seen a company who claimed to be sustainable ACTUALLY prove to be sustainable through and through. The fact that every piece of the packaging was reused and minimal will have me come back over and over again. If I can purchase it here, I will purchase it here.
