Ships in a glass bottle with a plastic pump. When you’re running low, order a new bottle here, but select “Refill.” We’ll ship your new bottle without a pump, and include a return label for your old bottle so you can send it back at no cost. Transfer your pump to the new bottle, pack the empty bottle in the box, and send it back to us. We’ll sanitize and reuse the bottle.

Switching from an 8oz to a 16oz? Select the "new" option so we include a new pump as well!

Let's go to the real winner in my eyes. Honestly, I could have purchased this exact product many other places, but the packaging A Drop in the Ocean uses to ship will have me coming back time and time gain.
My first purchase from them was some floss a while ago and it arrived in a reused tea box with a hand written note that was written on scrap paper. I was blown away.
I had never seen a company who claimed to be sustainable ACTUALLY prove to be sustainable through and through. The fact that every piece of the packaging was reused and minimal will have me come back over and over again. If I can purchase it here, I will purchase it here.

Love for the Lotion!

This lotion meets all my marks: No endocrine-disrupting fragrances, pure, quality ingredients, zero waste packaging, hydrating formula that leaves my skin silky-smooth, creamy and light texture, and a beautiful scent. Thank you for this lotion of my dreams! The only thing I noticed is the box didn't come with a return label for it to be refilled, which also applies to the sunscreen I bought from this wonderful store. I'm guessing it's just a mistake, so other than that - LOVED this lotion!

(I'm a bit obsessed with it myself ) Re: the return labels, the reason I didn't include return labels in the box is because this was your first order with us (and all of the refillable items in your order were "New Bottles" or "New Jars"). Simply put, you just don't have anything to return yet! When you're running low on your lotion and sunscreen, just place another order on our website for "Refills" of these items and I'll include the return label in the box with those :) For the lotion in particular, since the New Bottle you currently have has a pump on it, your Refill will come without a pump - just a silver metal cap. When the Refill arrives, transfer the pump to the Refill bottle, and send the empty bottle back with just the metal cap. No wasted plastic here! I hope that makes sense!
