Materials
This razor and blades are made with 100% polished stainless steel. The carrying pouch is made from sustainable hemp.

Care
Store in a dry spot between uses. Got rust? Soak in vinegar and baking soda and wipe clean.

Packaging + End of Life
This razor comes with a hemp carrying pouch, but is otherwise unpackaged. The blades are packaged in a cardboard box, individually wrapped in paper for safety.
The razor should last many lifetimes with proper care, but if something happens and it's time for retirement, all pieces of the razor body can be curbside recycled.
The blades should be returned to Albatross for recycling. Details can be found here. If you're in Tacoma, you can return to blades to us, and we'll send them back to Albatross for you. Please do not put blades in curbside recycling. This can be incredibly dangerous for humans working at the recycling facilities.

Kudos to the Safety Razor
It had been a long time since I'd used a straight edge razor so of course, the first time I used it, I nicked my shin pretty badly. That was a few weeks ago though and not only has it recovered, I haven't nicked it again! Whether I nick myself again or not though, I am glad to be using a razor that is environmentally friendly. I've had years of using razors made with plastic and want to do all I can to help our planet recover as much as it might be able to.

Works better than you can imagine!
I love this razor so much! It gives me the smoothest shave I've ever had. It doesn't irritate my skin, and i don't have to exchange the blade very frequently, so it is very cost effective!

Love it!
I have heard about safety razors for a long time, and how they give a great shave. Plus how these are plastic free and the razors are recycled...but I was so scared of them! Even after I finally made the purchase, they sat in my cupboard for at least a month before using. Finally did it, and I love it! My spouse has also starting using one!

Love the razor and really nice delivery!
I have been meaning to switch over to a safety razor for a long time, and I finally tried it and I will never go back. This feels like a very high quality product, very solid and the weight is very nice in my hand. The blades are easy to change, and it was delivered for free with a lovely note!

A Drop in the Ocean is an online zero waste and sustainable living boutique based out of Tacoma, Washington. We do not have a brick-and-mortar shop, but we do offer local delivery around the South Sound region, including refills of your household essentials.
We do all of our deliveries on Tuesdays. Orders must be placed by 5pm on Monday for guaranteed Tuesday delivery. At checkout, select the "South Sound Local Delivery (Tuesdays)" shipping option, and we'll add you to our route.
Note that we do have a $20 order minimum for delivery, and a $5 delivery fee for orders under $50.
