Keep these babies all over your home; our raw natural loofahs are perfect for scrubbing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, or even a bit of skin exfoliation. Grown on a family farm in Guatemala or India, our loofahs are unprocessed, pesticide- and herbicide-free, and fully compostable. Depending on their use, each loofah will last several weeks to a few months.

Each loofah could even be cut into smaller loofahs so they last even longer! Make them your own.

Each loofah comes compressed and flattened, and expands when wet. Loofahs are actually a vegetable! So toss these babies into your backyard compost, or even just bury them in your yard or in your garden when it's time to replace them. They will decompose within 30 days.

These loofahs are grown on family farms in India and Guatemala, and distributed through Los Angeles, California.

Let's go to the real winner in my eyes. Honestly, I could have purchased this exact product many other places, but the packaging A Drop in the Ocean uses to ship will have me coming back time and time gain.
My first purchase from them was some floss a while ago and it arrived in a reused tea box with a hand written note that was written on scrap paper. I was blown away.
I had never seen a company who claimed to be sustainable ACTUALLY prove to be sustainable through and through. The fact that every piece of the packaging was reused and minimal will have me come back over and over again. If I can purchase it here, I will purchase it here.

Just as expected!

Disclaimer- I haven't tried them yet, I've been wanting to try natural loofahs for ages, but couldn't find a reliable low waste source to buy them from (especially local!). Finally got them today, I'm so excited to give them a try. I deal with KP and the texture of the loofah is the right texture I'm looking for! I also want to add that I got a little note with my order, Kristina, your hand writing is gorgeous!

Natural Loofah Sponges

I love washing my dishes with these. I can use them with the solid dish soap or if I use liquid soap in a sink of dishes. When I’m done with the dishes, I just put it in the dishwasher on the top to clean and sanitize it. At the end of its life, I just compost it.

For the shower and the kitchen too

These are great for gentle exfoliation in the shower, especially for my feet and ankles! I also tried using one for scrubbing stubborn residue on dishes, and that seems to do the trick too. I had always thought they were only for bathing, but I'm glad I tried using them in the kitchen as well.

Best loofah ever, seriously. Just the right texture for a nice bodyscrub without being too rough. Thanks for the idea to use for a house cleaning sponge!
