Redirecting Textile Waste: Closing the Loop and Innovating for a Sustainable Future
This post first appeared in our weekly Make Waves Mondays email series on September 2, 2024.
Hey hey friend!
As you may know, I'm currently out of the office heading down to the Vermilion Sea Field Station in Baja California, Mexico with 9 other EcoWarriors on our Baja EcoWarrior Retreat, returning late next week.
But just because I'm out of the office doesn't mean Make Waves Mondays have to go anywhere!
Since I know you were ~so~ worried about not hearing my voice today, I wanted to share something even better - my face! 😅😅
Last month I was part of a really cool event here in Tacoma - The Future of Textile Waste Symposium, hosted by The Chayah Movement.
And just in time for me to head out of town, I just received the link to the replay of the panel discussion I was part of: Redirecting Textile Waste: Closing the Loop and Innovating for a Sustainable Future. It was such an honor sitting beside 5 other incredible women doing important work keeping textiles and other materials out of our waste stream.
So take a peek at the panel recording below, and then pop over to YouTube and leave a comment with your biggest takeaway from the discussion or any follow-up questions you might have 💙
