When I first began to fall in love with the sea, I was adventuring around the Gulf of California with our ocean conservation partner, Vermilion Sea Institute. VSI's fearless leader and resident marine biologist, Meghann, inspired us with her mermaidy-ness (totally a word, btw). Her adoration for the sea was contagious. Were it not for her and VSI, A Drop in the Ocean wouldn't be what it is today. Mermaids have since become a symbol of strength around here; a reminder that we as humans can do hard things. We can overcome fear, embrace being outside of our comfort zone, and grow into better versions of ourselves.
So we're dedicating these Little Mermaid-inspired soaps to Meghann and VSI. 5% of each sale of these soaps will go directly to VSI to support the work they're doing to inspire future mermaids and mermen to protect our seas.
Please note that all of our soaps are made by hand and therefore may differ slightly from those pictured.

Packaging + End of Life
These soap bars will either be completely unpackaged or wrapped in reused kraft paper, which can be home composted if there is soap residue left on the wrapping. If the wrapping is completely clean, it can be recycled with curbside paper recycling.
When the bar gets too small to use easily, we recommend adding it to a sisal soap saver bag with any other soap ends you may have.
