Perpetually dry skin that even the richest of lotions can't tame? This calendula salve has been my saving grace with every season change, and especially throughout the winter. (Seriously, my legs wouldn't survive without it.)
But it's not just great for dry skin. This handcrafted salve was developed for treating cuts, scrapes, bug bites, bruises, eczema, acne, and warts. Since ancient times, calendula has been prized for its healing properties, as it naturally promotes and stimulates the body's immune system. A must-have for natural skincare.

A fairy flower in a jar
Ever since our friend brought us some homemade calendula cream, I became aware of it’s magical properties. I began to notice how quickly a patch of dry skin on my elbow went away. My torn cuticles healed quickly. That homemade salve was somewhat messy to apply.. This KV Apothecary salve does everything without the mess. The tin is the perfect size and just feels good to open and apply. The lavender scent is subtle and pleasant. You can read about the history of calendula online. It is like having a fairy flower in a jar.
This really helps keep my hands softer in the winter time, it works as well some healing ointments from the drugstore (dont want to advertise for them here so I wont name names) , but with this youre supporting two local businesses!
I really like to way this salve feels on my skin and it has a mild scent. It seems to be helping with dry winter skin.
We ship ugly boxes
Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end when you press that checkout button.
We pack all of our orders in reused boxes and envelopes, with reused paper packaging, post-consumer recycled paper labels, and even paper tape.
You may not get an IG-worthy unboxing, but you will get the most sustainable packaging we can possibly find.
Oh and did we mention our shipping is always carbon negative?
Let's go to the real winner in my eyes. Honestly, I could have purchased this exact razor many other places, but the packaging A Drop in the Ocean uses to ship will have me coming back time and time gain.
My first purchase from them was some floss a while ago and it arrived in a reused tea box with a hand written note that was written on scrap paper. I was blown away.
I had never seen a company who claimed to be sustainable ACTUALLY prove to be sustainable through and through. The fact that every piece of the packaging was reused and minimal will have me come back over and over again. If I can purchase it here, I will purchase it here.
