Did you know most tea bags contain plastic? Make the switch to loose leaf tea and a reusable cotton filter to zero waste-ify your daily tea routine. These cotton fabric tea filters are reusable for a year or more, replacing 500+ disposable filters. Each filter is made with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton, meaning the cotton is not only grown without pesticides and less water than conventional, but adheres to strict ethical practices too. Elevate your daily tea routine sustainably!
Size
These filters come packaged in a set of two.
Materials
Made with 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and a metal ring closure.
To Use
Add your favorite loose-leaf tea to the filter and steep for your desired amount of time. Compost the spent tea leaves and rinse filter thoroughly. Hang to dry.
Care
When you first receive your filters, boil them in hot water for 10 minutes to sanitize and preshrink. Allow to dry between uses, and every two weeks or so boil again until water runs clear. (Each filter box includes detailed care instructions.)
Packaging + End of Life
Each set of 2 filters come packaged in a cardboard box, which can be recycled with curbside paper recycling. The filters themselves should last at least a year with proper care, but when they reach the end of their life, they can be cut up and home composted. The metal ring should first be removed and recycled with metal recycling.
